I use Alt+ left mouse click but nothing happened. Check your settings first. If anyone that you feel it is checked or not. May be after this your problem will solved.
Go to opera setting and scroll down to on startup and check open a specific page or set of pages is checked. It would not be check.

@leocg Yes, I'm using Windows 7 but also have a Windows 10 machine that I will have to start making more use of soon. Thanks for all your help 🙂
@eblecher It's not, as far as I know.
@leocg that was the problem. Residuals being left in that folder were the issue.
Deleting the Opera Software folder from C:\Usersusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable and reinstalling fixed the issue, thanks!
@Drekengaurd What version of Opera?
